AW-2000 is a specialized cutting fluid engineered specifically for aluminum wheel manufacturing, delivering superior performance in high-speed CNC machining and finishing operations.

ROLITOM RLT-AW2000 Semi-Synthetic Microemulsion Cutting Fluid for Automotive Aluminum Wheel Machining
Many auto wheel manufacturing factories frequently encounter troublesome processing defects during CNC machining. High-speed cutting leads to excessive heat and dimensional deviation of wheel hubs; aluminum alloy surfaces are prone to foggy white marks and oxidation stains after processing; circulating coolant generates a large amount of foam to block filter equipment, and ordinary cutting fluids cannot simultaneously protect steel machine tools and aluminum workpieces.
ROLITOM independently developed RLT-AW2000 microemulsion cutting fluid, specially customized for rough machining and finish turning of automotive aluminum wheel blanks. The product adopts a composite lubrication system, matched with multi-metal rust prevention passivation additives and low-foam ingredients. The formula completely abandons heavy metals, sodium nitrite, phenols and other restricted hazardous raw materials, which meets global industrial environmental protection standards.
The concentrated liquid can be mixed with clean water in any proportion to form stable working liquid. Excellent heat exchange performance quickly takes away cutting heat in high-speed processing, effectively improving the surface finish of alloy wheels and stabilizing the dimensional tolerance of finished products.
Product Advantages
Dual physical & chemical lubrication system
The formula combines boundary lubricant and extreme pressure additive. It forms a uniform protective film between the tool and aluminum blank during heavy cutting, reducing tool wear. In fine finishing procedures, it avoids micro-scratches on wheel spoke surfaces and ensures consistent processing accuracy for mass production. Meanwhile, the microemulsion structure brings efficient heat dissipation to prevent thermal deformation of aluminum workpieces caused by high spindle speed.
Powerful anti-discoloration protection for aluminum alloy
Specially added non-ferrous metal anti-tarnish passivator solves the common problems of fogging, white streaks and oxidation stains on wheel surfaces after processing. The product passes 8-hour constant temperature corrosion test on LY12 aluminum alloy, and will not cause discoloration of aluminum parts after long-term soaking.
Multi-metal integrated anti-rust performance
The diluted working fluid can provide Grade 0 rust resistance for iron scraps and machine castings within 2 hours under normal temperature environment. It can resist corrosion of carbon steel for 24 hours and copper parts for 8 hours at 55℃ constant temperature. There is no need to equip additional rust prevention liquid for mixed metal equipment in the workshop.
Ultra-low foam circulation system
Suitable for high-pressure large-flow coolant circulation equipment commonly used in wheel production lines. According to GB/T 6144 standard foam test with distilled water, the foam volume generated after 10 minutes of stirring is controlled below 2ml, which avoids foam overflow, filter blockage and cooling efficiency attenuation during 24-hour uninterrupted processing.
Safe and environmentally friendly formula
No harmful restricted substances, lower subsequent waste liquid treatment cost compared with oily cutting oil. The concentrated liquid has good water miscibility, no stratification after dilution, and stable service cycle of working fluid in the liquid tank.

Mixing & Operation Instructions
Preparatory cleaning before filling the liquid tankBefore using this cutting fluid for the first time, completely clean the residual old cutting fluid, metal sludge and oil dirt in the machine liquid tank, circulation pipeline and filter screen. It is strictly forbidden to mix with other brands or types of metal processing fluid, otherwise the emulsion will break down and lose lubrication and anti-corrosion performance.Inject clean circulating water at room temperature into the liquid tank first, then slowly pour the concentrated liquid into the water while turning on the circulating pump to stir evenly. Do not pour clean water into the undiluted concentrate directly.
Adjustable working concentration matching processing loadUsers can adjust the mixing ratio according to different wheel processing procedures to balance processing effect and production cost. The applicable concentration range is controlled between 3% and 8% by weight.Light load finish turning, thin-wall wheel polishing: 3%-5% concentrationHeavy load rough milling, deep groove cutting, high feed blank processing: 6%-8% concentrationIt is recommended to use a refractometer to detect the concentration every week, and supplement the concentrated liquid in time after water evaporation to keep stable processing performance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: Is RLT-AW2000 only suitable for automobile aluminum wheel processing?
A1: The product is optimized and developed targeting alloy wheel rough and finish machining. It can also be used for LY12 aluminum structural parts, aluminum hub accessories and mixed processing of steel and aluminum fixtures. If users process other general aluminum parts in large quantities, we can recommend special general aluminum cutting fluid for better cost control.
Q2: What negative effects will be caused by mixing this coolant with the original cutting fluid in the workshop?
A2: Different formula systems will break the microemulsion balance after mixing, resulting in liquid stratification, excessive foam, complete loss of aluminum anti-discoloration ability, a large amount of metal sludge precipitation in the liquid tank and accelerated rust of machine tools. The liquid tank and pipeline must be thoroughly cleaned before replacing RLT-AW2000.
Q3: How long is the replacement cycle of the working fluid in the liquid tank of the wheel production line?
A3: Under the condition of regular concentration detection, daily chip filtration and sealed storage environment, the full liquid replacement cycle can reach 3 to 6 months for continuous wheel processing, far longer than ordinary low-cost semi-synthetic cutting fluid.
Q4: Does this cutting fluid meet international environmental protection waste liquid discharge standards?
A4: The formula does not contain heavy metals, nitrite, phenols and other hazardous substances, which conforms to mainstream industrial environmental protection regulations in various regions. The waste liquid can be treated through conventional industrial wastewater treatment equipment without special hazardous waste disposal procedures.
Q5: What concentration should be matched for high silicon hard cast aluminum wheel blank roughing?
A5: For rough milling of high-hardness cast aluminum blanks, it is recommended to maintain the working concentration at 7%-8% to enhance extreme pressure lubrication and prevent scratch and oxidation fog on the wheel surface.
