Barium Salt Rust Preventative Package 610

RP 610 is a high performance rust preventative package based on barium salt.

RP 610 is low viscosity and easy to blend. It is soluble in solvent and mineral oil to meet a full range of treat level and performance requirements.

RP 610 contains polar compounds which have magnetic attraction to metals. It offers excellent water

displacement & separation properties, and rust protection for most metals. It leaves an ultra thin, almost colorless protective film on the metal surface, when blended with carriers.

A. Oily film

The treat level of RP610 is based on actual demands.1-3% glycol ester can be added to improve the water displacing property, when the treat level of RP610 is low; there is no need for glycol ester when RP 610 is on a high treat level. 

B. Volatile

Application

RP 610 can be used for protection of finished parts in indoor storage for at least twelve months, as well as short period of outdoor exposure.
